Traditional shoe-making skills have given way to mass production, wasting precious resources and resulting in an average of three pairs of shoes per person being sent to landfill every year.

It's not rocket science. Durable, well made products lead to less consumption of all kinds of resources.
At Uniform Standard we embrace this principle by celebrating regional expertise and authentic generational craftsmanship.

The region close to Porto in the North of Portugal is the home of traditional Portuguese shoemaking and home to our family run factory. Passing down to the next generation, they importantly reflect our own ethical sensibilities by ensuring the highest standards in working conditions and respect for the environment.

At every stage - from clicking to closing, lasting and finishing, our team of master craftsmen and women meticulously handcraft each pair down to the very last stitch. Their depth of knowledge is born of many years perfecting their skill to create sneakers that deliver quality above expectation and without compromise. Less and better.
