Sneaker Guarantee
At Uniform Standard we take great care and pride in the design and craftsmanship of our sneaker products. We use the finest leathers and highest standards of handcrafted skill and manufacturing.
We guarantee all our sneaker Series to be free of defects in material or workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days from the original date of purchase, when purchased directly through our website. The limited guarantee covers defects of workmanship and materials, but does not cover damage caused by accident, improper care, negligence, normal wear and tear, excessive exposure to water and wet conditions, or the natural breakdown of materials and colour through time or extensive use.
Full Grain Leathers
Slight variations in colour and texture that you might see in your sneakers are unique characteristics of the premium full grain leathers that we use. Just like your own skin, these natural features add to the beauty of our sneakers and therefore should not be considered a defect.
Some creasing of the leather at the front of the sneaker where your foot bends is normal and should not be considered a defect. Regular care and nourishment of your sneakers using our high quality sneaker care products will help to keep the leather supple and reduce the amount of creasing.
Wet Weather
As we use premium full grain Italian leathers with minimal coating to achieve the most natural look, please try to avoid wearing these sneakers in wet weather conditions. If they do become wet please stuff them with newspaper and allow them to dry naturally. Do not use artificial heat to dry wet sneakers as it may cause the leather to shrink.
Outsole Performance
We test all of our outsoles to ensure they meet recognised industry standards in terms of durability and performance. How long an outsole lasts will vary from person-to-person and how they are used. Factors such as gait, load, terrain and weather have a dramatic effect on outsole wear. Outsoles support many times our own bodyweight and will wear down overtime and this is not considered to be a defect.
Our outsoles are attached to the upper using a cement glue and sidewall stitch construction. Any small visible gaps you might see around the top edge of the outsole is perfectly normal and does not affect the construction or performance of the outsole attachment.
Although we would love to offer customers a re-soling service, the technology and construction methods we use on our sneaker does not permit us to offer this service without a high risk of damage to the uppers.
Care and Maintenance
We strongly recommend a regular cleaning and conditioning routine your sneakers to keep the leather soft and supple. We offer a full range of the finest care products avaialble. You can also find cleaning instructions here. Its important that you rotate your sneakers regularly to give them time to dry.
