Dirt removal
Brush your sneakers with a suede cleaning brush to loosen any dirt and use a Saphir Gommadin Eraser to remove any stubborn marks. It is important to remove as much dirt as possible so that it does not become trapped in the nubuck during the next stages. Don’t overrub the same spot otherwise you might damage the surface of the nubuck.

For deep cleaning and stain removal we recommend Saphir Omni Nettoyant cleaner. Pour the required amount of cleaner into a container and dilute with water. Work the solution with a small brush into a lather over the shoe. Rinse the brush bristles with water and brush the surface again. Leave to dry for six hours. Brush the nubuck with a crepe brush to revitalise the original surface texture and patina.

Use Saphir Renovateur spray to restore the colour and refinish you nubuck sneakers. Choose a suitable colour that matches your suede or use a neutral colour spray.  Cover an outside area with newspaper and also stuff your shoes with newspaper to protect the lining from being stained.  Spray the Renovateur evenly at a distance of 25cm from the surface of the sneakers and leave to dry for 15 minutes. Brush with a crepe brush to obtain a perfect finish.

As a final step we recommend applying a water repellent treatment on your sneakers to prolong the life and maintain the appearance of the leather. Use Saphir's Super Invulner Spray to provide a protective barrier. Its neutral colour is suitable for all colours. Use once a month and apply in a well ventilated area, preferably outside, from a distance of 12"-18" and allow 30 minutes to dry.
